These popular and free applications have been found to be pirated knockoffs of actual applications. It is this close similarity to other popular apps that makes this such a predicament for Android users. Within these applications coding is a series of malware strings that definitely a security issue for those who have downloaded them. With the apps ability to data mine a users’ phone for sensitive information, it makes customers of these phones vulnerable to a world of things like credit card fraud, identity theft, and just flat out damage to your paid for phone. It is the malware intent to use the root of the app to extract information like your user identification, contact list info, and browser habits. This kind of breach can be quite serious.
